Studying Child Care in Australia
The Australian Child Carers Study section aims to help you to study to become a qualified early childhood professional, regardless of the level you are currently at. We hope to give you as much help as possible, drawing on the wealth of knowledge from our Australian child care community.
There is a lot of talk about a shortage of quality trained child carers in Australia, so we hope you can help us to do our best to give everyone in the industry as much of a helping hand as we can.
By offering advice here on the site, as well as pointing you in the right direction for formal qualifications, we will help make the current and next generation of early childhood professionals more educated and capable.
If you follow this line of work, the possibilities for fulltime employment are endless – early childhood assistant, family day care provider, room leader, director and early childhood teacher are all paths you may like to go down. You may like to go even further working with the National Childcare Accreditation Council, DoCS or training others to follow in your footsteps.
Whatever you choose, we hope you stop to share some tips with all of us.
